The Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, in partnership with North South University and the Association of Bangladesh-China Alumni, hosted the “2026 Chinese Culture Night” at North South University in Dhaka on March 2.
According to a post published on the embassy’s official Facebook page, the event was attended by Bangladesh's State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj Mazharul Islam, Minister Counsellor (DCM) Liu Yuyin of the Chinese Embassy, and North South University Vice Chancellor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, among other guests, who delivered remarks.
The post said more than 2,000 participants joined the event, including representatives from various sectors of Bangladeshi society, faculty members and students of North South University, as well as representatives of the Confucius Institute and Chinese enterprises, according to the embassy.
The event featured activities highlighting Chinese cultural traditions, including wearing Hanfu, spring-themed paper-cutting, solving lantern riddles, and making dumplings.
