Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) announced that 92 workers will depart for South Korea on December 9 through a chartered flight under the Employment Permit System (EPS).

Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) official Facebook page posted this on Wednesay.

Workers must report to designated hotels in Uttara on 06 December between 3:00pm and 4:00pm for a mandatory syphilis test. Those testing positive cannot stay at the hotel or travel. Candidates must bring three passport photocopies, one photograph, and their labour contract during testing.

BOESL allocated six hotels near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (Dhaka airport) to accommodate workers. Hotels include Silver Paradise, Skylink Limited, Aero Link, City Homes, White Stone, and Sea Shell. Each worker will stay seven days for pre-departure training and medical tests before flying.

Workers must sign a TK 300 non-judicial stamp affidavit pledging not to change workplaces within one year, avoid illegal stays, and refrain from filing complaints without valid reasons. Guardians (father, mother, brother, sister, or spouse) must accompany candidates during hotel check-in and submit photographs and identification documents.

Luggage restrictions apply strictly. Workers can carry 25-27 inch bags weighing maximum 20 kilograms, plus seven-kilogram hand luggage. Prohibited items include spices, tobacco products, perfumes, body sprays, and unprescribed medications. Small amounts of dry food like dates and biscuits are allowed.

Workers will receive 20 hours of virtual training over three days covering orientation, health protocols, immigration procedures, and workplace guidelines. Training sessions will feature ministry officials, medical specialists, police officers, embassy representatives, and successful EPS workers.

BOESL implemented this one-stop service arrangement during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. Daily accommodation and service costs approximately TK 3 thousand per candidate. Workers will pay flight ticket fees during their hotel stay.
