AirAsia Group CEO calls on PM Tarique Rahman

Bo Lingam, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AirAsia, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting took place at 3:10 pm local time on Monday at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, according to the PMO press wing.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat was present on the occasion.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the overall development of Bangladesh’s aviation sector, infrastructure expansion, enhancement of air connectivity, and various aspects of attracting international investment. Particular emphasis was placed on the prospects for foreign investment in Bangladesh’s emerging aviation market and on strengthening regional connectivity.
AirAsia expressed its interest in expanding business operations and increasing future investment in Bangladesh’s rapidly growing aviation sector. Both sides also exchanged positive views on further strengthening air connectivity between the two countries.
Earlier, the prime minister arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday on a two-day official visit. Wrapping up his visit, he left for Dalian, a city in China, in the afternoon and arrived there at 11:05 p.m. local time.
