CAAB reviews budget for upcoming two fiscal years

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh will hold a crucial budget review meeting on Tuesday to discuss revised allocations for fiscal year 2025-2026 and proposed budget for fiscal year 2026-2027.

Meeting will take place at 11:00am in the conference room of Chairman's Secretariat at CAAB headquarters in Kurmitola, Dhaka. CAAB Chairman will chair the session, according to a notice issued on December 22.

Mohammad Moazzem Hossain, Director of Finance at CAAB, signed the official notice inviting all concerned officials to attend on time. Directors and airport managers stationed outside Dhaka have been requested to join virtually through Zoom platform.

Notice specified that Zoom meeting ID will be shared through WhatsApp to facilitate remote participation. Officials from airports in Chattogram, Sylhet, Cox's Bazar, Jashore, Saidpur, Rajshahi, Barishal, Ishwardi and Cumilla are expected to join online.

All CAAB members, chief engineer, executive director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, directors from headquarters, and superintending engineers from various circles have been invited. Executive engineers from civil and electrical-mechanical divisions will also participate.

Budget discussions will cover financial planning for aviation infrastructure, airport operations and development projects across Bangladesh. Meeting comes as CAAB continues to modernise aviation facilities and expand airport capacities nationwide.
