Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (Dhaka airport) is scheduled to operate 49 flights to Middle East destinations today, marking the highest single-day volume in current Ramadan travel season.

Today's planned operations include 21 flights to Saudi Arabia, 22 to United Arab Emirates and 6 to Muscat. UAE services comprise 12 Dubai flights, 8 Sharjah flights and 2 Abu Dhabi flights.

Airport data shows dramatic increase from 6 flights on February 28 to today’s 49 services. Previous peak was March 12 with 48 flights, which today's schedule surpasses by one flight.

Since February 28, airport has handled 490 completed Middle East flights with today’s 49 bringing total planned operations to 539 over 16-day period. Saudi Arabia leads with 257 completed flights and 21 planned today, totalling 278 services.

UAE destinations received 138 flights through March 14, with today's 22 planned services raising total to 160. Dubai accounts for 64 completed flights plus 12 today, Sharjah has 53 completed plus 8 today, while Abu Dhabi received 21 completed services plus 2 today.

Muscat operations stand at 95 completed flights with 6 planned today, bringing total to 101 services during the period.

Daily operations remained above 30 flights consistently from March 4 onwards. March 9 and March 10 recorded 40 and 42 flights respectively, demonstrating sustained high demand.

Schedule reflects peak Ramadan and pre-Eid travel period when Bangladeshi expatriates return home while residents travel to Middle East for Umrah pilgrimage and family visits. Operations indicate aviation sector managing strong passenger demand despite earlier regional conflict concerns.

Current flight volumes represent nearly eight-fold increase from opening day of tracking period, confirming traditional seasonal surge in Middle East route operations.
