Embraer's backlog hits record $34.5 billion in the second quarter, rising 16%

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer said on ​Friday its firm ​order backlog hit a record ⁠of $34.5 billion at the end ​of the second quarter, ​up 16% from a year earlier.


The commercial aviation backlog stood ​at $15.1 billion in April-June ​quarter, up 15%, while executive ‌aviation ⁠backlog rose 5% to $7.8 billion.


The remaining backlog came from Embraer's defense unit, ​at $6.1 billion, ​and ⁠its services and support business, at $5.5 ​billion.


Embraer reported earlier ​this ⁠month the delivery of 65 aircraft in the second ⁠quarter, ​up some 7%.
