Close to 24,000 Emirates Group employees are expected to take part in the 10th Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), the Group said in a statement on Friday.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge runs from October 31 to November 29, 2026. Emirates said its participation reflects a long-standing commitment to employee health and wellbeing, and supports Dubai’s wider aim of becoming one of the world’s most active cities.

The Group will take part in two of the challenge’s main community events, Dubai Ride and Dubai Run. Emirates said more than 3,200 employees joined Dubai Run in 2025 and that it aims to exceed 4,000 registrations for this year’s run on November 22. Employees have already signed up for Dubai Ride, which takes place on November 1.

The Group’s more than 20 sports and hobby clubs are also taking part during the month, according to the statement. The Emirates Engineering Cricket Club will join the official DFC tournament, with fixtures from November 4, and the Emirates Group Basketball Club will compete in a tournament running from November 4 to 26. The Emirates Road Cycling Club will ride in Dubai Ride, and the Emirates Paddling Club will take part in the fourth Dubai Stand Up Paddle event on November 7 and 8.

To mark the challenge’s tenth year, four employee divers from the Emirates Scuba Diving Club entered The Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis, The Palm, and unveiled a sign reading “We’re celebrating 10 years of DFC, what’s your 30x30?”, the Group said. The “30x30” refers to the challenge’s aim of 30 minutes of activity a day for 30 days.

Emirates has also organised a corporate fitness session at Za’abeel Park Fitness Village, where close to 300 employees are due to train together. Its wellbeing programme Sehaty will share fitness, nutrition and mental wellbeing tips through the month, supported by teams including Group Medical Services, Clinical Psychology and the Employee Assistance Programme.

As an incentive, permanent employees who register and complete 30 minutes of physical activity or 10,000 steps every day for 30 days will receive one Service-Related Concession ticket to any destination on the Emirates network of close to 140 destinations, the Group said.
