Hanif, Tomal elected president, 1st vice president in TOAB Election

Mohammed Hanif and Syed Shafat Uddin Ahmed Tomal have been elected President and First Vice President, respectively, of the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) for the 2026-2028 term. 


The preliminary election results were released on June 16, 2026, by the association's Election Board.


In the contest for President, Mohammed Hanif secured 178 votes, while candidate Md. Taslim Amin Shovon received 144 votes. For the post of First Vice President, Syed Shafat Uddin Ahmed Tomal obtained 163 votes against Salauddin Ahmed’s 159 votes.


The results for other executive positions are as follows:

Vice President 1: Md. Moinul Islam (240 votes).

Vice President 2: Ziaur Rahman Zakir (176 votes).

Director - Finance: Zahir Ahmed Helal (180 votes).


Elected directorial positions include:

Director - Legal Affairs: Md. Robiul Islam Robi (193 votes).

Director - Training & Research: Naymul Hassan (194 votes).

Director - Printing & Publication: Md. Abu Rayhan Sarker (192 votes).

Director - Property & Assets: Shakawat Hossain (186 votes).

Director - International: Md. Firozul Islam (168 votes).

Director - Trade and Fair: Md. Abul Baset Babu (174 votes).

Director - Culture & Sports: Syed Md. Imtiaz (178 votes).

Director - Member & Human Welfare: A. B. M. Zakariya (Razib) (177 votes).


In the general Director category, the three elected individuals are Mohammad Mohiuddin with 292 votes, Md. Tamim Ahmed with 196 votes, and Md. Nurul Anwar with 183 votes.


The election was conducted under the supervision of a three-member board, comprising Chairman Md Helal Uddin and members Khabir Uddin Ahmed and Aslam Khan.
