Saudi Arabia's national flag carrier Saudia has moved up to 15th place in the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards rankings and won two regional awards, the airline said in a statement.

The rankings were announced at the World Airline Awards ceremony in London. Saudia was placed 17th in 2025 and 20th in 2024, a five-place rise over two years.

At the regional level, Saudia was named Best Cabin Crew in the Middle East. It also retained the Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East award for a second consecutive year. According to the airline, the staff service award reflects guest evaluations across the journey, from airport and ground services to the onboard experience.

Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, said the result "carries particular significance in one of the world's most competitive industries". He credited the airline's staff and said Saudia would continue investing in people, technology and products.

Rossen Dimitrov, Saudia's Chief Guest Experience Officer, said the recognition of both cabin crew and frontline teams showed that the airline's transformation was "translating into an experience our guests can see". He said the airline was reshaping travel around passengers' needs.

Saudia said the recognition comes as it continues its "New Saudia Experience" programme, which combines Saudi hospitality, operational efficiency, digital innovation and improved products and services across the passenger journey.

The airline said it is carrying out the largest investment in guest experience in its history, covering both its new and existing fleet. The programme includes new and redesigned cabins and seats, high-speed inflight internet, upgraded inflight entertainment and digital services, along with continued investment in staff.
