The United Kingdom will issue only electronic visas (eVisas) to travelers who require a visa to enter the country from Feb 25, 2026, the British High Commission in Bangladesh said.
On Monday, in a notice posted on its verified Facebook page, the High Commission said all travelers subject to UK visa requirements must create a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account and verify their eVisa before traveling to the UK.
The move marks a shift to a fully digital immigration system, replacing physical visa vignette stickers in passports with electronic records that can be checked online. The mission advised travelers to complete the required steps in advance in order to avoid difficulties before departure.
Further information on the eVisa process is available on the UK government website at www.gov.uk/eVisa
