16 countries to join Dhaka tourism fair

Bangladesh joins 15 international participants as BTTF 2026 brings together global tourism stakeholders to explore AI-driven travel, sustainable destinations, and new business opportunities.

Bangladesh will welcome tourism industry representatives from 15 countries to the three-day Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2026, beginning October 29 in Dhaka, bringing the total number of participating countries, including host Bangladesh, to 16.

Organised by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), the 14th edition of the international fair will continue until October 31 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre.

The participating foreign countries are Nepal, India, Singapore, the Maldives, the Philippines, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, China, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Thailand, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Azerbaijan.

Held under the theme “AI Powered Tourism, Sustainable Destination,” the fair will highlight technological innovation, environmentally responsible travel, and international tourism connectivity.

TOAB President Mohammad Hanif said the event would provide a major platform for showcasing Bangladesh's tourism potential while strengthening business partnerships with international travel and hospitality operators.

The fair will feature more than 200 booths and stalls, over 220 exhibitors, at least 250 qualified buyers, and approximately 2,500 trade visitors.

Organisers expect more than 60,000 visitors during the three-day event, with over 200 airlines, hotels, and tour operators participating across four exhibition halls.

Hanif said the fair would facilitate business-to-business networking, promote domestic tourism internationally, and create fresh commercial opportunities for Bangladeshi tourism entrepreneurs.

The event will also explore how artificial intelligence can improve tourism services, destination marketing and customer experiences while encouraging sustainable tourism practices.

US-Bangla Airlines is the title sponsor, while Biman Bangladesh Airlines is the airline partner.

The fair is being organised with cooperation from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh Tourism Board, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, and other government and industry stakeholders.

For Bangladesh, the gathering offers an opportunity to strengthen its international tourism profile, attract foreign visitors, and expand partnerships across the global travel industry.
