The first group of Bangladeshi students awarded Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships has arrived in Pakistan to pursue higher education at leading universities, the Pakistan High Commission in Bangladesh said.
In a post published on its verified Facebook page on February 15, the High Commission said the students are beneficiaries of the PakistanâBangladesh Knowledge Corridor initiative, which aims to deepen academic cooperation and strengthen people-to-people ties between the two countries.
According to the statement, representatives of Pakistanâs Higher Education Commission and officials from the respective universities received the students upon their arrival at the airport.
The programme aims to offer Bangladeshi students the chance to pursue advanced studies in various disciplines in Pakistan.
The High Commission added that the selection process for the next batch of scholarship recipients will begin soon, signaling the continuation of the initiative.
"We wish the students success in their academic pursuits and a rewarding stay in Pakistan," the High Commission added.
