3 female employees from US-Bangla Airlines received Aviateur Women's Icon Award 2026 for their outstanding contributions to aviation sector.
Civil Aviation and Tourism state minister Rashiduzzaman Millat presented awards as chief guest at a community club in Dhaka on March 14, Saturday. Programme was organised by Aviation and Tourism Journalist Association of Bangladesh to mark International Women's Day.
Ten women employees from airlines and tourism sectors received recognition for setting exemplary standards in their respective departments. From US-Bangla Airlines, Mukta Wahid, Manager of Cabin Service Department, won Best Trainer award. Mousumi Akter, Assistant Manager of Customer Service Department, and Farhana Yasmin, Senior Executive of Sales and Marketing Department, were honoured for contributions in their fields.
Aviation and Tourism Journalist Association of Bangladesh organised the Aviateur Women's Icon Award ceremony. Air Vice Marshal Mohammad Mostafa Mahmud Siddique, Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, attended the event. Other distinguished guests included Nuzhat Yasmin, CEO of Bangladesh Tourism Board, and Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Mohammad Mofidur Rahman, former Chairman of CAAB.
ATJAFB President Tanjim Anwar and Secretary Baten Biplob were also present along with other guests at the ceremony.
Awards recognised women's leadership and professional excellence across various aviation and tourism departments. Recognition highlights growing role of women professionals in Bangladesh's aviation industry.
US-Bangla Airlines expressed pride in achievements of three staff members who brought honour to organisation through dedication and professional excellence.
