37 Dhaka-Middle East flights scheduled today, UAE tops

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (Dhaka airport) has scheduled 37 flights to Middle Eastern destinations today, with UAE receiving highest number of services.
This was stated in a press release issued by airport flight management, through Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) public relations officer Muhammad Kawsar Mahmud.
Flight Management data shows 19 flights departing for UAE cities, 15 for Saudi Arabia and 3 for Muscat, Oman. UAE-bound services include 8 flights to Dubai, 9 to Sharjah and 2 to Abu Dhabi.
Todayâs operations continue two-week intensive flight schedule that began on February 28. Airport has operated 448 total flights to Middle East between February 28 and March 13, serving large Bangladeshi expatriate worker population and business travellers.
Saudi Arabia received highest cumulative flights with 219 services during the fortnight. UAE destinations totalled 118 flights, while Muscat operations reached 111 flights across monitoring period.
Operations peaked on March 12 with 48 departures, comprising 23 Saudi Arabia flights, 16 UAE services and 9 Muscat flights. Peak day represented maximum operational capacity for Middle East routes at Dhaka airport.
Schedule shows consistent growth from initial 6 flights on February 28. Daily operations averaged 32 flights throughout the period, reflecting strong Bangladesh-Middle East connectivity.
First week of March recorded 173 flights between March 1-7. Second week saw increased demand with 203 flights from 8th to 13th March, demonstrating upward trajectory in passenger traffic.
