The newly formed BNP government has ushered in fresh leadership at the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism (MoCAT), appointing Afroza Khanam Rita as Minister and M. Rashiduzzaman Millat as State Minister, a move drawing keen interest from aviation and tourism stakeholders nationwide.

Afroza Khanam Rita was elected as Member of Parliament from Manikganj-3, while M. Rashiduzzaman Millat was elected from Jamalpur-1.

With aviation hub ambitions, overseas employment expansion and tourism reform high on the national agenda, industry leaders are expressing optimism that the new leadership will inject renewed momentum, policy clarity and strategic direction into Bangladesh’s aviation and tourism landscape.
