‘Airport Security Manager Course’ completed at Civil Aviation Academy

The “Airport Security Manager Course–25,” organized at the Civil Aviation Academy with the aim of upgrading the security systems of the country’s airports to international standards and enhancing the professional skills of relevant officials, has been completed.

 

A certificate distribution ceremony was held today (April 28) at the academy premises. The course began on April 12.

 

Senior officials from various government and private organizations across the country participated in the course and received training on modern aspects of airport security management.

 

During the training, participants were provided with in-depth knowledge on key areas of airport security, including threat identification, risk analysis, passenger and baggage screening, X-ray image analysis, explosive detection techniques, aviation security regulations, and guidelines of international organizations.

 

The concerned authorities expressed hope that the trained officials will play a significant role in strengthening security systems at the country’s airports and will contribute to the implementation of standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

 

The course was conducted by instructors including the Director of the Civil Aviation Academy and ICAO Instructor Prashanta Kumar Chakraborty, along with aviation sector experts.

 

At the certificate distribution ceremony, Air Commodore Md Asif Iqbal, BSP, BUP, NDC, AFWC, PSC, GD(P), Member (Security) of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), attended as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the trainees.

 

Asif Iqbal said that the knowledge and skills gained through this course will play an important role in further strengthening the security systems of the country’s airports. He expressed hope that the trained officials will make effective contributions to the implementation of ICAO standards.

 

Civil Aviation Academy Director Prashanta Kumar Chakraborty said that such specialized training is highly important for upgrading the security systems of the country’s airports to international standards. He added that this course will enhance the professional skills of officials, further strengthening modernity and effectiveness in security management.
