Biman's Chennai-bound flight aborts takeoff after passenger falls ill

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight bound for Chennai was forced to return to the runway seconds before takeoff on Wednesday after a passenger suddenly fell ill on board.

Flight BG-363 was scheduled to depart Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka at 11:20 am, but the aircraft aborted its takeoff at the last moment due to the passenger's deteriorating condition. The ill passenger was administered oxygen while still on board.

The flight eventually departed for Chennai at 1:10 pm, nearly two hours behind schedule.

Biman authorities said they took swift action, giving the highest priority to passenger safety and emergency medical assistance.
