Boeing names Celso Ferrer as president for Latin America and the Caribbean

Boeing names Celso Ferrer as president for Latin America and the Caribbean

Boeing has named Celso Ferrer as president of Boeing Latin America and the Caribbean, the company announced on August 13, 2026. He will take up the post effective September 4, 2026.


In the role, Ferrer will be responsible for strengthening Boeing's operations, strategy, and presence across the region, as well as supporting the company's growth opportunities throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.


Announcing the appointment, Boeing Global president Dr. Brendan Nelson AO said Ferrer brings strong experience and leadership to the position, noting his more than two decades in the aviation industry make him well suited to the opportunities and challenges facing the company in the region.


Ferrer joins Boeing after a career at Brazilian carrier GOL Linhas AÊreas, where he served for four years as chief executive officer, having started his career at the airline as an intern. Before becoming CEO, he served as chief operating officer, leading operations, operational safety, airports, planning, network, supply chain, and fleet areas, and earlier spent five years as vice president of planning, gaining extensive experience in pricing and alliances, according to the release. He is also a currently certified airline pilot and was part of GOL's flight crew on the Boeing 737 fleet.


Responding to the appointment, Ferrer said it was an honor to join Boeing at a time of expansion in the region, adding that he was grateful for the company's confidence in him and was excited for the opportunities ahead in this new phase of his career.


Ferrer holds a degree in economics from the University of SÃŖo Paulo, a degree in international relations from PUC-SP, and an executive MBA from INSEAD in France.


Boeing describes itself as a leading global aerospace company and top U.S. exporter that develops, manufactures, and services commercial airplanes, defense products, and space systems for customers in more than 150 countries.
