Boeing partners with UK flight trainer on pilot programme

Global aviation giant Boeing deepens collaboration with a UK-based flight training group, a move with positive implications for Bangladesh's growing aviation sector.

Leading Edge Aviation (LEA) has strengthened its partnership with Boeing by hosting a major delegation at its UK campus. More than 20 Boeing team members from the US, UK, and Germany visited the Oxford base to advance new pilot training initiatives.

This high-level meeting follows LEA's key role in developing Boeing's new Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) suite. For two years, LEA acted as a development partner, providing crucial feedback from its instructors, students, and management. This input helped Boeing align its CBTA resources with the actual needs of modern airlines.

Boeing's CBTA suite includes interactive lessons and advanced assessment tools. These resources focus on vital pilot skills like decision-making, communication, and leadership development. "This collaboration ensures our training is directly linked to modern airline competency frameworks," an LEA spokesperson said.

Full CBTA suite integration into LEA's syllabus is now complete. This means cadets gain exposure to these advanced training principles from their very first day.

For Bangladesh, where demand for skilled pilots is rising, such global partnerships signal a trend towards more effective, competency-focused training for future aviators.
