Boeing, Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 S.A. (WZL-1), and the Military Central Bureau of Design and Technology S.A. (WCBKT) signed offset implementation agreements on Tuesday to build long-term industrial cooperation for the sustainment, maintenance, and ground support of Poland's incoming AH-64E Apache helicopter fleet, according to a Boeing news release.

The signing ceremony was held at the WZL-1 facility in Łódź and was attended by representatives of the Polish Ministry of National Defence, the Government of Poland, and the Polish Armed Forces.

Under the agreements, Boeing will support WZL-1 as the Polish company begins servicing the AH-64E for Poland's military, providing maintenance, repair, and overhaul work, including organizational- and intermediate-level inspections and repairs, along with select depot-level component repairs. Separately, Boeing and WCBKT will evaluate WCBKT-made ground support equipment for use with the Apache, assessing whether Polish-engineered solutions could play a future role in sustaining the aircraft.

Marc-Olivier Sabourin, vice president of EICLA & Training Solutions at Boeing Global Services, said the agreements marked an important turning point in the company's partnership with Poland. He said Boeing, WZL-1, and WCBKT were building the industrial framework, technical expertise, and workforce needed to support Poland's Apache fleet for decades while strengthening the country's sovereign defense capabilities.

WZL-1 CEO Jacek A. Goszczyński said establishing what he described as the largest Apache support infrastructure in Europe was both a responsibility and a natural extension of the company's core business, adding that the agreement would let WZL-1 support the Polish Armed Forces and significantly enhance their operational capabilities.

WCBKT CEO Roman Fiszer said the agreement was a significant step toward increasing Polish defense industry participation in the Apache support program, giving WCBKT a chance to expand its capabilities and reinforce its role as a national center of expertise in ground support equipment for military platforms. He said using WCBKT-developed equipment alongside Polish industry more broadly would strengthen logistical efficiency and the operational independence of Poland's armed forces.

Poland has contracted for 96 AH-64E Apache helicopters. According to the release, the country will become the world's second-largest Apache operator after the United States once the fleet is delivered, joining 18 other nations that currently fly the aircraft. Roughly 1,300 Apache helicopters are in service worldwide.
