Boeing to showcase commercial, defence portfolio at Farnborough Airshow

Boeing said Monday it will showcase its commercial aircraft, defence platforms and aviation services portfolio at the Farnborough International Airshow, highlighting new technologies, engineering programmes and long-term global partnerships as the aerospace industry gathers for one of its largest trade events.

In a press release, the U.S. aerospace manufacturer said its exhibition will focus on engineering innovation, sustainability initiatives, customer support and collaboration with international partners, including its more than 85-year presence in the United Kingdom.

"Every day is an opportunity to continue building trust as we focus on safety, quality, and on-time performance," Boeing President and Chief Executive Officer Kelly Ortberg said in the statement.

"At Farnborough, we look forward to reconnecting with our customers and suppliers and strengthening our international partnerships—including Boeing's more than 85-year commitment to the United Kingdom—built upon the full range of our commercial, defense and services capabilities," he said.

A key highlight of Boeing's display will be the public debut of the MQ-28 Ghost Bat collaborative combat aircraft, which will be on static display at the airshow. The uncrewed aircraft has been designed to operate alongside crewed military aircraft, performing missions such as surveillance, electronic warfare, and force multiplication.

The company said visitors to its exhibition stand will also be able to explore an immersive display featuring a full-scale section of the Boeing 777X cabin, showcasing the aircraft's wider interior and updated cabin design. Flight simulation experiences for the T-7 advanced trainer aircraft will also be available.

Boeing said it will present a range of commercial and government aviation services, including aircraft parts, modifications, cabin products, digital services, and training solutions. The exhibit will also feature the Boeing Cascade Climate Impact Model, a data analysis and visualisation tool designed to evaluate pathways for reducing aviation's environmental impact as global air travel continues to grow.

Aircraft on display will include the MQ-28 Ghost Bat, a U.S. Army CH-47F Chinook helicopter, and a UK Joint Aviation Command CH-47 Chinook.

Company executives will also participate in a series of industry panel discussions during the airshow, covering topics including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), aerospace supply chains, and emerging technologies. Boeing has scheduled media briefings on the MQ-28 Ghost Bat, the commercial aircraft market outlook, the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, and the 777X programme.

The Farnborough International Airshow is one of the aerospace industry's premier global events, bringing together aircraft manufacturers, airlines, defence organisations, suppliers, and government officials to announce new programmes, showcase technology, and discuss industry trends.

Boeing said it will provide customer announcements and programme updates throughout the airshow, which is expected to serve as a platform for strengthening commercial relationships and demonstrating its latest aerospace capabilities amid continued global demand for commercial aircraft and defence systems.
