The British High Commission in Bangladesh on Thursday (June 18) warned prospective migrants and jobseekers against visa-related fraud, urging people not to pay money to individuals or agencies promising overseas employment through so-called âpackage deals."
In a post published on its official Facebook page, the British mission said legitimate employers would never ask candidates to pay money in exchange for recruitment.
âNo legitimate employer will ever ask you to pay to be recruited. If someone offers you a âpackage dealâ, itâs a scam. Stay alert!â the High Commission said.
The British High Commission regularly issues advisories on visa procedures and cautions applicants against falling victim to scams circulating on social media and other online platforms.
Bangladesh also has been working to combat irregular migration and fraudulent recruitment practices through stricter oversight and public awareness campaigns.
