China Southern Air Cargo is set to expand its long-haul freighter fleet with an order for five Boeing 777-8 Freighters and two Boeing 777 Freighters, as Boeing 777X announced on its verified Facebook page.

The agreement also includes options for three additional 777-8 freighters, providing flexibility for future fleet growth.

Deliveries are scheduled between 2027 and 2034, further bolstering the airline's cargo operations with Boeing's next-generation freighter family.

The order underscores growing demand for widebody freighter capacity on long-haul trade routes, with the 777-8 Freighter offering operators greater range and payload efficiency compared to earlier variants.

China Southern Air Cargo is the cargo arm of China Southern Airlines, one of the largest carriers in Asia by fleet size.
