China Southern Airlines will resume direct passenger services between Guangzhou and Delhi on September 21, according to its official X account.
The relaunch marks the carrier's return to the route after a six-year suspension. The service will operate daily, with tickets already on sale.
According to the released schedule, Flight CZ359 departs Guangzhou at 15:35 and lands in Delhi at 19:00. The return flight CZ360 takes off from Delhi at 20:00 and arrives in Guangzhou at 04:15 the next day. Boeing 737-800 aircraft are expected to serve the route.
The relaunch comes as air links between China and India have steadily recovered. The airline will be the third carrier in mainland China to resume passenger flights to India. Earlier, China Eastern Airlines restarted its Shanghai-Delhi service, followed by the BeijingâDelhi route of Air China.
The resumption of daily Guangzhou-Delhi service is expected to boost business, trade, and tourism ties between southern China and India. It will bring greater convenience for business travelers, tourists, students, and trade partners. It will also facilitate in-depth commercial, educational, and cultural exchanges amid rising bilateral travel demand.
