Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre is set to host ‘Dawat-e-Sultan’, a week-long royal buffet featuring dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Indian subcontinent, Persia, Turkey and the Middle East, from September 20 to 26.

The buffet will be served at the hotel’s Attitude Restaurant from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm each day.

Inspired by the hospitality and generous spread of a traditional Shahi Dastarkhan, the event will feature a range of aromatic biryanis, slow-cooked dishes, charcoal-grilled kebabs and traditional desserts. The hotel said the buffet will be presented in a royal setting and festive atmosphere for families, friends and colleagues.

One of the highlights of the menu is Lamb Uzi Al-Malaky, a whole roasted lamb served with fragrant rice, nuts and fried onions. The spread will also include Nizami Gosht Dum Biryani, featuring mutton slow-cooked with fragrant rice and traditional spices, and Darbari Pot-Roasted Quail, prepared by roasting quail in a special pot.

Other main-course dishes will include Dum Pukht Beef Nihari, Murgh Musallam-e-Darbar, Awadhi Batakh Korma and prawns grilled directly over an open flame.

The charcoal-grilled kebab selection will feature Adana Kebab-e-Sultan, Jujeh Kebab-e-Shahaneh and Kubideh Kebab-e-Darbar. Turkish-style chicken and beef durum rolls will also be available.

Guests will be welcomed with refreshing beverages including Sharbat-e-Mohabbat and Jallab Al-Qasr.

The dessert selection, titled ‘Shirin Khazana-e-Sultan’, will feature Baklava-e-Sarai, Kunafa Al-Malaky, Umm Ali Al-Malaky and Shahi Tukra-e-Khas. The spread will also include three varieties of Kheer-e-Sultan, Nawabi Semai and eight varieties of traditional sweets.

The buffet is priced at Tk8,100 net per person. Selected bank cardholders can avail themselves of a ‘Buy One, Get Three Free’ (B1G3) offer. Under the applicable terms of the card offer, four guests can enjoy the royal buffet for a total net price of Tk8,100.
