Dhaka cranks 448 Middle East flights in two-week turmoil

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (Dhaka airport) has operated and scheduled 448 flights to Middle Eastern destinations between February 28 and March 13.
Saudi Arabia received highest number of flights with 219 services during the period. United Arab Emirates destinations received 118 flights, while Muscat, Oman received 111 flights over the fortnight.
Peak operations occurred on March 12 with 48 flights departing for the region. Breakdown shows 23 flights to Saudi Arabia, 16 to UAE destinations including Dubai (7), Abu Dhabi (3) and Sharjah (6), and 9 to Muscat.
UAE flight distribution included Dubai with 58 services, Sharjah with 42 flights, and Abu Dhabi receiving 18 flights across the monitoring period.
Operations commenced with just 6 flights on February 28, gradually increasing to maximum capacity mid-month. Scheduled operations for 13th March include 37 flights comprising 15 to Saudi Arabia, 19 to UAE and 3 to Muscat.
Daily average reached approximately 32 flights to Middle East destinations. Saudi Arabia maintained consistent operations ranging from 13 to 23 daily flights. UAE services peaked at 19 flights on March 13.
First week of March saw 173 flights between March 1-7. Operations intensified in second week with 203 flights scheduled from March 8-13, reflecting increased travel demand.
Muscat operations showed steady growth from 4 daily flights in early March to 10 flights on peak days. Data indicates strong connectivity between Bangladesh and Middle Eastern destinations, serving large expatriate worker population and business travellers.
