Embraer, Alliance Airlines renew E190 parts support deal

Embraer and Australia’s Alliance Airlines have renewed a Component Support Agreement covering the airline’s E190 jets, Embraer said.

The agreement gives Alliance a cost-effective repair solution that supports operational reliability while keeping maintenance expenses in check, according to an Embraer press release. Embraer described Alliance’s as Australia’s largest E190 fleet. The airline has operated this type since 2021.

Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, said Alliance’s E-Jets have been “instrumental in enhancing Australia’s regional connectivity.” He said Embraer remains committed to providing the maintenance solutions, expertise, and support the airline needs as it grows.

Embraer said Australia is one of its most important markets in Asia Pacific and that it has supported regional connectivity there since it delivered its first aircraft in the country in 1978. Close to 70 E-Jets are now operated by six Australian operators on regional routes and on Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) services for the mining and resources sector, it said.

Alliance describes itself as Australasia’s leading provider of ACMI, contract and charter airline services, with more than 70 operational aircraft, according to the release. ACMI means an airline supplies the aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance to another operator. The company serves the mining, energy, and government sectors and provides wet-lease services to other airlines, including Qantas and Virgin Australia. The release said it holds IATA’s IOSA certification and Flight Safety Foundation BARS Gold status, the first Australian carrier to reach gold.
