An Emirates flight from Dubai to Delhi suffered a bird strike on arrival on Oct 17, delaying the return service to Dubai while the aircraft was repaired, the airline said.
Emirates said flight EK517 encountered the bird strike as it arrived in the Indian capital. The return flight to Dubai will be delayed while the aircraft undergoes the necessary repairs, the airline said, as reported by Gulf News.
Emirates said it is arranging hotel accommodation for affected passengers. The flight is now expected to depart at 07:00 Delhi local time on Oct 18.
The statement did not say how many passengers and crew were on board, how badly the aircraft was damaged, or whether the inbound flight was otherwise affected. It also provided no information on any injuries.
