Emirates extends Arsenal sponsorship to 2033 in landmark renewal

Emirates and Arsenal Football Club have agreed a long-term renewal of their sponsorship partnership, extending the airline's front-of-shirt, training kit, and stadium naming rights deal through the 2032/33 season, the two organisations announced.

The renewal keeps intact what both sides describe as the Premier League's longest-running front-of-shirt sponsorship, a relationship that began in 2006 and has spanned the entire history of Emirates Stadium.

The new agreement comes shortly after Arsenal won its first Premier League title since 2004. Arsenal chief executive Richard Garlick said the club now has an opportunity to build on that success, adding that the renewal reflects "a shared belief in Arsenal's future."

Sir Tim Clark, president of Emirates Airline, said the partnership had grown into something that reaches millions of Arsenal supporters across the airline's global network, calling it one of the strongest foundations in world sport. Juliet Slot, Arsenal's chief commercial officer, said the two organisations were now in the strongest position they have been in together, built on two decades of trust.

Under the deal, the partnership will continue to support established initiatives including the Emirates Cup, an annual pre-season tournament hosted at Emirates Stadium, and the Global Gooners program, which brings overseas supporters to watch Arsenal play in north London.

The next phase of the partnership begins this weekend, when Arsenal host Borussia Dortmund in the Emirates Cup at Emirates Stadium. The fixture will open a series of anniversary events marking 20 years of the Arsenal-Emirates partnership, with Clark expected to attend alongside Arsenal's senior leadership. Arsenal also released a short film featuring club legend Per Mertesacker to mark the anniversary.

Emirates has used sports sponsorship, including deals with football clubs, cricket boards, and Formula One, as a long-running part of its global marketing strategy since the airline's early expansion in the 2000s.
