Emirates will introduce its Premium Economy cabin on the Dubai-Paris route from October 25, extending the product to all three of the airline's French gateways, the carrier said in a statement issued from Paris.

The retrofitted A380 will operate the route on flights EK071 and EK072 daily, marking the completion of Premium Economy's rollout across Lyon, Nice, and now Paris, according to Emirates, which describes itself as the world's largest international airline.

The airline said Premium Economy on its French routes has consistently maintained a healthy seat load factor since its launch in Lyon and Nice, with one in ten passengers on the Dubai route travelling in the cabin. A significant share of long-haul traffic into France originates from destinations including the UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, India, and Thailand, with journeys of more than 10 hours where the airline said demand for additional space and comfort is strong.

Cedric Renard, Emirates' country manager in France, said the expansion reflected sustained demand for the cabin.

"France is an important and longstanding market for Emirates, and we're delighted to now offer our newest cabin experience at all gateways we serve," Renard said, adding that the airline had seen a strong customer response to Premium Economy in both Lyon and Nice.

"Paris is one of our busiest global gateways for both inbound and outbound travellers. This latest investment reflects our confidence in the market and our long-term commitment to serving our customers with more choice, flexibility, and premium travel options," he said.

According to Emirates, the Premium Economy cabin on the retrofitted A380 is located at the front of the main deck with 56 seats in a 2-4-2 layout, featuring reclining leather seats with adjustable headrests and leg rests. Passengers are served meals on fine china alongside a curated wine and champagne selection and receive a 35 kg checked baggage allowance plus 10 kg of carry-on, along with priority boarding and a dedicated check-in counter at Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The retrofit also brings updated interiors to the aircraft's First, Business and Economy cabins, along with refreshed versions of the airline's onboard lounge and shower spa, the statement said.
