Emirates said Wednesday it will roll out a new collection of champagnes and fine wines across all cabin classes over the coming months, drawing on vineyards in France, Australia, Chile, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, as part of one of the airline's most extensive wine programmes to date.

The new selection ranges from Dom Pérignon Vintage 2017 and Château Mouton Rothschild 2003 in First Class to Wiston Estate Brut NV, which will become Emirates' first English sparkling wine, served exclusively in Premium Economy on UK routes from October.

The airline said it has invested more than USD 1 billion in its wine programme since 2006, building a cellar that now holds around five million bottles in dedicated facilities in France. Many wines are acquired years in advance and aged before being introduced onboard, with Bordeaux wines for Business Class typically undergoing eight to 10 years of ageing and those for First Class matured for at least 12 to 15 years, according to the airline.

In First Class, Dom Pérignon Vintage 2017 is set to be introduced across Emirates' global network later this year. Other additions include Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru 2015 from Bouchard Père & Fils, currently served on African routes; Le Petit Cheval Blanc 2023 from Château Cheval Blanc on European routes; and Seña 2016 on East Asia routes. From late September, Penfolds RWT Shiraz 2015 will be served on Australasia routes, followed by Château Mouton Rothschild 2003 on UK routes from October and Vilafonté Series C 2016 on select routes from December.

Business Class customers on US routes are currently served La Dame de Montrose 2014 from Château Montrose, while Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2024 from Domaine des Sénéchaux will be introduced on East Asia routes from late September.

In Premium Economy, Emirates will add La Parde de Haut-Bailly 2014 from October and Chablis Premier Cru Jean-Marc Brocard 2024 from September, alongside the new Wiston Estate Brut NV on UK routes. Chandon 2021 from Australia's Yarra Valley continues as a global Premium Economy exclusive.

In Economy Class, the airline is introducing Domaine de la Baume Tautavel 2023 and, from October, Château Pech-Latt Corbières 2024, both from southern France, along with Cuvée Sabourin Picpoul de Pinet 2024 and Journey's End Weather Station Sauvignon Blanc 2025 from South Africa.

Emirates said its wine selection process considers fruit character, acidity, tannin levels, oak influence, and maturity, with wines chosen to perform "both on the ground and at altitude."
