Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre will host the second edition of its Bengali-themed food festival, “Banglar Roshona Bilash 2.0,” at Attitude Restaurant from July 8 to 12.

The special buffet dinner, scheduled from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm each day, is being organised following what the hotel described as an overwhelming response and appreciation for the festival last year.

According to the hotel, the event will feature a Gram Bangla-inspired setting aimed at showcasing traditional Bengali food, music, entertainment and rural culture.

Guests will be welcomed with the hotel’s signature Kacha Amer Shorbot, also known as Aam Panna. The beverage selection will also include lassi, ghol, beler shorbot, lemon mint and tamarind shorbot.

The festival’s food offerings will include fresh Padma hilsa and a range of traditional Bengali dishes prepared with home-style recipes. The buffet will feature a bhorta and achar station and live stations serving street-food items including fuchka, chotpoti and jhalmuri.

Main-course items will include panta bhat, bhuna khichuri, mutton kacchi, Sonali chicken pulao, shorshe ilish, narikel chingri, duck bhuna, beef kala bhuna, local fish curries, shutki preparations, seasonal vegetables and traditional dal.

Desserts will include mishti doi, gurer mishti doi, shahi tukra, nawabi shemai, patishapta, traditional pitha, narikel naru, jalebi, kheer, assorted local sweets and malai tea.

The hotel said the festival will also feature a traditional bioscope, a Gram Bangla-themed photo booth, a fortune-telling corner, face painting and a live Baul performance with ektara.
