The Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, in collaboration with Daffodil International University (DIU), organised the Japan Education Seminar 2026 on July 30, drawing more than 150 students, according to a statement posted on the embassy's official Facebook page.

Representatives from the Embassy of Japan and the University of Tokyo briefed attendees on the Japanese government's MEXT Scholarship programme and student life in Japan, while outlining the range of academic opportunities available to Bangladeshi students, the embassy said.

The seminar aimed to strengthen higher education cooperation between Japan and Bangladesh by raising awareness among young Bangladeshis about opportunities to study in Japan, according to the statement.

The embassy said it hoped the initiative would continue to promote people-to-people exchanges and deepen academic and cultural ties between the two countries.
