Jet fuel price rises again: Tk 227.08 per liter

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has revised aviation fuel (jet fuel) prices upward for April, citing the ongoing conflict in the Middle East as the primary driver behind the adjustment.

According to the commission's order, the price for domestic flights has been set at Tk 227.08 per liter, inclusive of all applicable duties and VAT.

For international flights — operated by both domestic and foreign airlines — the revised price stands at $1.48 per liter, excluding duties and VAT.

BERC issued an official notification confirming that the new rates came into effect from midnight tonight.

This latest revision follows a steep hike on March 24, when jet fuel prices surged by approximately 80 percent on domestic routes—reaching Tk 202.29 per liter—and by around 79 percent on international routes, both in a single adjustment.
