The Embassy of Bangladesh in Tashkent has advised Bangladeshi expatriates in Kyrgyzstan that foreign nationals residing there without valid documents, including visas, work permits, or residence permits, will not face legal complications if they voluntarily leave the country between July 1 and July 31, 2026.
In a notice, the embassy said such individuals would also be exempted from paying exit visa processing fees during the one-month window.
The embassy shared a media report for the information of Bangladeshi expatriates living in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the media report, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has signed a decree launching a one-time legalization campaign for foreign citizens and stateless individuals staying in the country in violation of migration laws.
Under the decree, foreigners who leave voluntarily between July 1 and July 31, 2026, will not face administrative liability. The exemption covers those with an expired visa or residence permit, a revoked residence permit, missing or expired registration or work permit, an expired authorized stay period, or a stay purpose different from that declared on entry.
Foreign nationals who leave during this period will be exempt from liability for migration law violations and from fees for processing exit visas, the decree states, the report said.
Authorized state bodies have been directed to implement the decree, including running information and awareness campaigns among foreign citizens. The decree takes effect from the day of its official publication, the report said.
