Nagad offers Sri Lanka air tickets in Durga Puja campaign

Mobile financial service Nagad has launched a Durga Puja shopping campaign that offers customers a chance to win return air tickets to Sri Lanka and Cox’s Bazar, along with cashback and electric scooters, the company said.

According to a Nagad press release issued on Oct 17, customers who spend Tk 10,000 or more at selected merchant outlets through “Nagad Bangla QR”, using the Nagad app or USSD code *167#, will have a chance to win a Dhaka-Sri Lanka-Dhaka return air ticket every week. According to the company, customers whose transactions total Tk 5,000 or more in a day will receive a Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka return air ticket daily.

Customers who spend Tk 10,000 or more in a week will also enter a weekly mega draw, where one winner receives an electric scooter. Nagad said winners will be chosen through a transparent, random process, and each customer can win only one mega prize during the campaign. The release said the mega rewards are divided into three categories, based on total spending on clothing, footwear, online platforms, restaurants, and superstores.

The campaign also includes instant cashback. Customers who spend at least Tk 2,000 at selected clothing and footwear outlets using Nagad Bangla QR get Tk 100 back, up to Tk 200 across two transactions. Purchases at superstores, restaurants, and online platforms, including Daraz, Othoba.com, and CartUp, earn cashback of up to Tk 200.

Nagad said cashback is credited to the customer’s account automatically after a successful transaction.

Nagad’s head of marketing, H U M Mehedi Sajjad, said the company wants to “double the joy” of people celebrating the festival. He said Nagad is committed to making transactions easy and rewarding and cashless and to popularising cashless payments.
