Non-passengers barred from Shahjalal airport for 24 hours

Authorities have imposed a temporary restriction on the entry of non-passengers, including accompanying individuals and visitors, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) to ensure security, passenger service efficiency, and operational discipline.
According to the airport authority, the restriction will remain in force from 6:00 pm on Wednesday (December 24) to 6:00 pm on Thursday (December 25), covering a 24-hour period.
The Executive Director of the airport confirmed the decision in a message on Tuesday.
It is to be noted that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is scheduled to arrive in the country through Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday morning.
The notification stated that the move was taken due to special operational and security considerations.
