The Philippine government has reiterated that eTravel registration is now mandatory for all passengers and crew arriving in or departing from the country, warning that failure to comply may result in denial of boarding or entry.
Authorities said travelers must complete the eTravel registration within 72 hours before arrival or departure through the official website etravel.gov.ph or the eGov PH mobile application.
Upon successful registration, a QR code is issued, which must be presented to airline staff and immigration officers during processing.
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) stated that the eTravel system has replaced traditional paper arrival cards, helping streamline border procedures, speed up passenger processing, and enhance health and security monitoring at ports of entry.
According to authority, the eTravel System is a digital single data collection platform for passengers arriving in and departing from the Philippines, which shall be utilized for border control, health surveillance, and economic data analysis.
The authorities also urge travelers to the Philippines to complete the eTravel Declaration Form exclusively through the official website https://etravel.gov.ph/ as there are scam websites that are pretending to be facilitators of the Philippine eTravel Declaration Form.
The requirement applies to nearly all international travelers, including airline and shipping crew, entering or leaving the Philippines. However, certain categoriesâsuch as foreign diplomats and holders of diplomatic or official passportsâmay be exempt.
Airlines have been instructed to ensure passengers complete the mandatory registration before boarding, while immigration officers may refuse entry to those who fail to comply. Travelers are advised to register early to avoid delays or travel disruptions.
