Qatar Airways said Monday it had flown newly crowned UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) back to Paris aboard a specially painted Boeing 777, celebrating the French club's European triumph and highlighting the airline's long-standing partnership with the team.

In a press release issued on June 1, the Doha-based carrier said the aircraft featured a dedicated UEFA Champions League livery and carried PSG players and officials, along with the coveted trophy, back to the French capital following the club's historic victory.

The airline said the flight was part of a broader celebration of its sports sponsorship portfolio, which includes partnerships with major football clubs, tournaments, and international sporting events.

According to Qatar Airways, the official airline partner of Paris Saint-Germain, the unique aircraft was created to commemorate the club's second consecutive UEFA Champions League title and to commemorate a significant milestone in the club's history.

In recent years the carrier has expanded its reach in global sports marketing through sponsorship deals in football, Formula One, tennis, and other major competitions. Since 2022, Qatar Airways has been a commercial partner of PSG, one of Europe’s leading football clubs.

The Champions League success rounded off a memorable season for the Paris club, bringing home the most prestigious prize in European club football.

The special flight highlighted Qatar Airways’ commitment to connecting fans, teams and global sporting events through its international network, the airline said.
