Qatar Airways unveils tech, Starlink push at ATM Dubai 2026

Qatar Airways used its participation at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026 in Dubai to showcase its latest premium travel and digital innovations, including a next-generation Qsuite product, onboard Starlink connectivity and AI-powered customer tools.

A statement from the airline was issued on Wednesday.

The Qatar national carrier's pavilion featured interactive displays of its digital and loyalty offerings, including "Q Search," "Infinite Awards" and the airline's first digital destination, "QVerse Island," built within the video game Fortnite.

On the sidelines of ATM, Qatar Airways signed new memoranda of understanding with the Kenya Tourism Board, Jordan Tourism Board, Sri Lanka Promotions Bureau, Tourism Malaysia, Visit Newport Beach and Visit Maldives, aimed at boosting travel through its Doha hub, Hamad International Airport, and exploring tourism promotion opportunities in those markets.

The airline said it remains the first carrier in the Middle East and North Africa region to introduce Starlink connectivity onboard, with up to 340 Starlink-enabled flights operating daily across more than 150 equipped widebody aircraft. Since launching the service in October 2024, Qatar Airways said more than 25 million passengers have connected to the internet across over 96,000 of its flights.

The airline also displayed its Qsuite Next Gen business class product, which features 4K OLED, manoeuvrable in-flight entertainment screens and configurable spaces for up to four passengers in a Quad Suite or two in a Companion Suite, along with digitally controlled privacy dividers and a turn-down service.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Hamad Al-Khater hosted guests on a tour of the airline's pavilion during the event, the airline said.

The airline said its "Infinite Awards" tool uses AI to help Privilege Club loyalty members plan reward travel and identify ways to earn Avios points, while "Q Search" offers conversational, AI-powered answers to customer queries through the airline's website.

Qatar Airways said it plans to fly to more than 170 destinations this winter through its Doha hub.
