Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel is hosting a Chittagong-themed buffet dinner at its Bahar Multi-Cuisine Restaurant from October 11 to 19, according to a press release issued by the hotel.

The buffet, titled “Mejjanot Aiyun”, draws inspiration from Chittagong’s mejban feasting tradition. It is served at Bahar on Level 3 of the hotel.

The menu includes Chatgaya Akhni Biriyani, Mejban Gost, Loitta Shutki Bhuna, Chhuri Shutki Do Piaza, Vetki Paturi, Chonar Dal and Bhuna Khichuri, the hotel said.

Starters include salads, cold canapes, local-style bhortas and pickles such as Loitta Shutki, Jolpai, Aamloki and Aam Aachar.

Live stations will serve Chapti and Chita Pitha with accompaniments such as Dhonia Pata, Shutki, Sorisha and Kali Jira Vorta. A tawa station will serve Kolija with Luchi, and a live fry station will offer Potengar Chingrir Chop, Loita Fish Fry and Rupchanda Fry.

Other dishes include Chatgaya Paya Nolli, Murog Narikel Korma, Sorshe Kochur Loti and steamed rice, along with a selection of international items. Desserts include Kheer Sandesh, Rasmalai, Sandesh, Mishti Doi, Tal-er Pitha and Mera Pitha, with Vapa Pitha and Kheer Patisapta made live.

The buffet is priced at Tk 8,999 net. The hotel is also offering an “Eat 3, Pay 1” deal, which it said applies across all payment methods.
