King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh is preparing to resume domestic and international flights on Sunday, Oct 25, after disruptions caused by recent Houthi missile and drone attacks on the Saudi capital, Saudi Gazette reported.
In a travel advisory issued on Saturday, the airport announced new terminal arrangements for flights operated by Saudi national carriers, effective Sunday, the newspaper said. Terminal 1 will handle domestic flights, and Terminal 2 will handle international flights operated by national carriers.
The airport urged passengers with confirmed reservations to contact their airlines to check their booking status and flight schedules before travelling to the airport, according to the report.
Saudi Gazette said the update follows a series of Houthi attacks on Riyadh and other parts of Saudi Arabia, including the airport itself. Saudi authorities have repeatedly announced the interception and destruction of projectiles aimed at Riyadh and other regions, and Civil Defense teams have responded to incidents involving falling debris from interceptions, it reported.
The report did not say how many flights will operate on Sunday or whether the airportâs full schedule will return.
