Riyadh Cargo launches online operations in Dhaka

Riyadh Cargo has launched its online cargo operations in Dhaka, seeking to strengthen freight connectivity between Bangladesh and key international markets.
The launch was marked by a ceremony at Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel on August 8, attended by senior Riyadh Cargo officials, representatives of its general sales agent (GSA) Envotech Aviation Ltd and trade partners.
Aditya Kapur, Senior Manager, Cargo Commercial Development at Riyadh Cargo, attended the event, along with Envotech Aviation Vice Chairman and CEO Shaikh Bashir Ahmed, Executive Director Kabirul Anam Khan and Associate Director Shaikh Shaiq Ahmed.
Speaking at the event, Kapur and Bashir highlighted the new operationâs role in expanding cargo connectivity and supporting trade links between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. They also expressed confidence in further growth of the partnership.
As part of the event, Envotech Aviation presented gratitude crests to trade partners in recognition of their contribution to the launch.
The new operation is expected to provide Bangladeshi exporters and importers with additional cargo capacity and more options for international freight movement.
Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabiaâs second national flag carrier after Saudia, is headquartered at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The airline plans to operate a fleet of more than 156 aircraft by 2030 and connect Saudi Arabia with more than 100 destinations across six continents.
Its current network includes Dhaka, London Heathrow, Jeddah, Dubai, Cairo, MÃĄlaga, Madrid, Kuala Lumpur and Mumbai. Manchester, Islamabad, Lahore, Manila and Bangkok are among its announced upcoming destinations.
The Dhaka launch was concluded with a gala dinner attended by airline officials, GSA representatives and trade partners.
