SATS eyes HSIA third terminal ground handling

Singapore-based aviation services company SATS has expressed interest in providing ground handling services at the Third Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), seeking to expand its footprint in Bangladesh's growing aviation sector.

The interest was conveyed during a meeting between Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam and representatives of SATS at the ministry today.

During the meeting, the SATS delegation expressed keen interest in participating in ground handling operations at the Third Terminal of HSIA, one of Bangladesh's largest aviation infrastructure projects.

The minister welcomed the company's interest and invited SATS to submit a formal proposal through the appropriate process, assuring that it would receive due consideration.

The discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation in aviation services and opportunities arising from the expansion of Bangladesh's airport infrastructure.

The Third Terminal, expected to significantly enhance passenger handling capacity and operational efficiency at HSIA, has attracted interest from several international aviation service providers seeking to participate in airport operations and related services.

SATS is one of Asia's leading aviation service providers, offering ground handling, cargo and food solutions across multiple international airports.
