Saudia launches up to 50% discount on international flights

Saudi Arabia's national carrier, Saudia, has launched a promotional offer providing discounts of up to 50 percent on Guest (Economy) and Business Class fares for international travel, according to a report by Zawya.

The offer covers international travel from the Kingdom as well as transit flights through Saudi Arabia to onward destinations across Saudia's network spanning four continents. Bookings can be made between August 20 and September 3, 2026, across all Saudia sales channels, for travel between September 1 and December 10, 2026. The discount applies to both one-way and round-trip tickets.

According to Arabian Business, the airline is aligning its flight schedules into coordinated arrival and departure waves to enable smoother connections for travellers moving between Asia, Europe, Africa, and other markets. The promotional fares are available both to transit passengers travelling through Saudi Arabia and to passengers beginning international journeys from the Kingdom.

Guests booking under the offer will have access to Saudia's digital, airport, and onboard services, including high-speed inflight connectivity now available on a growing share of its fleet, Zawya reported.

The promotion also offers added value for AlFursan loyalty members, who will earn 100 percent Bonus Tier Credits on flights booked during the offer period, helping them advance to a higher membership tier or retain their existing status.

The offer forms part of Saudia's broader strategy to strengthen Jeddah as a global transit hub. The airline expects the number of transit passengers travelling through the Kingdom to grow from more than 2 million in 2026 to over 5.5 million by 2030, according to Arabian Business.

Eligible transit passengers can also make use of Saudi Arabia's digital Stopover Visa, allowing stays of up to 96 hours to explore the Kingdom or perform Umrah before continuing to their final destination.
