Sheraton Dhaka has launched Coastal Carnival, an 11-day seafood festival in collaboration with Mutual Trust Bank PLC, bringing together international and local chefs to present seafood dishes inspired by coastal cuisines from around the world.

The festival, which runs from July 8 to 18, is being held at The Garden Kitchen on the 14th floor of Sheraton Dhaka in Banani. It is available exclusively during dinner, with the buffet priced at Tk 9,950 net per person, according to a media release.

The inaugural ceremony was held on Wednesday at The Garden Kitchen. Among those attending were Gabriel María Sistiaga Ochoa de Chinchetru, Ambassador of Spain to Bangladesh; Haji Haris bin Haji Othman; Md. Shakawath Hossain; representatives of Mutual Trust Bank PLC; members of the media; expatriate seafood chefs; and Sheraton Dhaka's leadership team.

The festival was officially inaugurated through a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a food tasting session featuring signature seafood dishes that will be served throughout the event.

The hotel said seafood specialists Chef Rimoun Obaid, Chef Hiromi Yonekawa and Chef Sait Dursun, together with Sheraton Dhaka's local chefs Mahbubur Rashid Akhand and Dulak Paul, will present dishes inspired by coastal flavours from different parts of the world.

The menu includes Seafood Paella Valenciana, Seafood Jambalaya Rice, Tuna and Salmon Teriyaki, Fish Bharta, Fish Sayadieh, Beetroot Salmon Gravlax, Lobster Bisque and other seafood dishes.

A key attraction of the festival is a live seafood counter featuring Norwegian salmon, octopus, tuna, king prawns, lobsters and other seafood. Guests can choose their preferred seafood, which will be prepared to order. The festival also features seven dedicated culinary stations showcasing different seafood preparations.

For guests preferring meat dishes, the buffet includes Irish Lamb Stew, Greek Lamb Shank, Mutton Nehari, Mutton Rogan Josh and other meat specialties.

The dessert selection includes Chocolate Milk Baklava, Pistachio & Coconut Baklava, Turkish Rawani, Tulumba, Moshabak, Arabian Medovik, Kunafa, Coconut Delights, Matcha Mousse Cake and other desserts.

Sheraton Dhaka said guests can avail Buy 1 Get 2 and Buy 1 Get 1 offers through 24 participating bank partners during the festival. The hotel has recommended advance reservations.
