SIA extends Dubai flight suspension to February: airline

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has extended the cancellation of its flights between Singapore and Dubai until February 28, 2027, citing the geopolitical situation in the Middle East.

In an updated advisory, the airline said the cancellations cover SQ494 from Singapore to Dubai and SQ495 from Dubai to Singapore. It added that other SIA flights may also be affected because the situation remains fluid, and it asked customers to check the Flight Status page on its website for the latest information.

Passengers on the cancelled flights can seek a full refund of the unused portion of their tickets, SIA said. Customers who booked directly with the airline can apply through its online Assistance Request Form, while those who booked through travel agents or partner airlines should contact their agent or the airline they bought from.

The airline also strongly advised passengers to update their contact details through the “Manage Booking” function on its website or to subscribe to its mobile notification service to receive updates on flight status.

“SIA apologises to all affected customers for the inconvenience caused,” the airline said in the advisory.

SIA has not flown to Dubai since late February, when it suspended the route after regional airspace closures. Since then, the airline has extended the cancellation several times. Its previous advisory, issued on October 1, had cancelled the flights until December 1, according to aviation news site Mainly Miles.
