The two-day “Study in Malaysia” Education Expo
Bangladesh-2026 began today at Hotel Sarina, bringing together Bangladeshi
students, parents, and professionals with representatives from 12 leading
Malaysian universities.
The expo has been organized by Education Malaysia Global
Services (EMGS), an agency under Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education, to
provide authentic and first-hand information on higher education opportunities
in Malaysia.
The Dhaka event was officially inaugurated by the Malaysian
High Commissioner to Bangladesh at 2:00 PM today at Hotel Sarina. The Malaysian
delegation was led by Moeen Uddin Ahmed Khan, Head of South Asia at EMGS,
alongside representatives from participating universities.
According to organizers, the expo features four Malaysian
public universities and offers information on Foundation, Diploma, Bachelor’s,
Master’s, PhD, and Post-Doctoral programs. Visitors are also receiving guidance
on admissions, scholarships, tuition fees, student visa processing, and career
opportunities.
EMGS officials said the initiative aims to bridge the
information gap by enabling direct interaction between prospective students and
university representatives, reducing misinformation and dependence on
intermediaries.
The expo will continue in Dhaka until May 9 before moving to
Rajshahi on May 13 and Chittagong on May 15. Admission to the event is free and
open to all.
