Thai Airways International (THAI) and LOT Polish Airlines have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish codeshare cooperation, aimed at strengthening connectivity between Europe, Asia, and Oceania, THAI said in a post on its verified Facebook page on October 14, 2026.
The two carriers, both members of Star Alliance, signed the MoU in connection with the inauguration of LOTâs Warsaw-Bangkok service, according to the post.
The MoU was signed by Kittiphong Sansomboon, THAIâs Chief Commercial Officer, and Robert Ludera, a board member and Chief Commercial Officer of LOT Polish Airlines.
The planned partnership builds on an existing interline agreement that allows passengers to combine LOT and THAI flights in a single journey. THAI said the codeshare arrangement aims to expand travel options across both networks and offer more convenient, seamless connections.
Codeshare services are expected to begin in early 2027, starting with the summer schedule, THAI said. The launch remains subject to regulatory approval, the completion of necessary agreements, and operational preparations.
THAI said the partnership reflects both airlinesâ commitment to supporting tourism and business travel and stronger ties between Thailand, Poland, and destinations across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
As Star Alliance members, the airlines already offer eligible passengers alliance benefits, including mileage accrual and applicable Star Alliance Gold privileges, according to the post.
The post did not name the routes that will be covered by the codeshare, and it did not include direct quotes from either executive. Aviation Express could not independently verify the details, which are based solely on THAIâs statement.
