Applicants for Thailand's Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) will be required to submit two additional documents starting August 31, 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka announced on its verified Facebook page.

According to the embassy's post, applicants must now provide proof of permanent residence in the country where the visa application is being submitted, along with a police clearance certificate or an official document confirming the absence of a criminal record. 

The clearance certificate must be issued by the applicant's country of nationality or country of permanent residence and submitted in both the original language and an English translation.

The embassy advised applicants to review the complete list of document requirements on the official DTV portal before submitting an application, at www.thaievisa.go.th/visa/dtv-visa.

The Destination Thailand Visa, launched in July 2024, is a five-year, multiple-entry visa aimed at digital nomads, remote workers, freelancers, and those pursuing Thai cultural or medical programs, allowing stays of up to 180 days per entry.
